SHEILA GAROS, PHD

Co-Director (She/Her/Hers)

Dr. Garos received her Ph.D. in counseling psychology at Arizona State University in 1998. She is currently an Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Texas Tech University. Her research interests have primarily been in the area of disorders of sexual frequency and control.

JOSEPH CURRIN, PHD

Co-Director (He/His/Him)

Dr. Currin received his Ph.D. in counseling psychology at Oklahoma State University in 2018. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at the United States Air Force Academy. Dr. Currin’s research focuses on sexuality, sexual health, and sexual behaviors with a goal of highlighting the impacts of stigma on mental and physical health disparities of marginalized individuals.
