THE S3XLAB

Our lab is a little different.  The S3X Lab was founded in 2018 by Drs. Joseph Currin and Sheila Garos.   When Dr. Currin joined the faculty at Texas Tech, he and Dr. Garos worked closely together due to their similar interests.  They became friends as well as colleagues, and often bounce ideas off of each other.  As it sometimes happens, Dr. Currin was offered a job he could not refuse at the US Air Force Academy.  However, both Drs. Currin and Garos wanted to continue to work together.  So, while they now work at separate institutions, with the help of digital technologies, they still work together with students at Texas Tech.
